Jamniska dog food is manufactured to the highest specification using a process called Freshtrusion. Freshtrusion is a first in dry dog food manufacturing and is a trade mark technology. It allows more fresh ingredients to be used in dry dog foods than any other extrusion system, including fresh meat, fresh vegetables, herbs and botanicals.

During Freshtrusion freshly prepared meats are cooked at a lower temperature than the normal extrusion process, this gentle cooking protects the nutrients allowing your dog to have optimal nutrient bio-availability. Gently cooking the food means nutrients such as proteins stay intact, rather than them being denatured as they are in extremely high cooking temperatures. This means more proteins are readily available resulting in digestibility levels higher than 90% with less waste.
